I’m a digital payments professional and home automation practitioner based in Malaysia. By day, I work on digital transformation and payment innovation, thinking about how millions of Malaysians pay for their daily lives, from transit rides to utility bills. By night, I run a home lab that does roughly the same thing, just with a lot more YAML.

This blog is where both worlds meet: practical, real-world Home Assistant guides written specifically for the Malaysian context - our utilities, our prayer times, our local APIs.

What I Do Here 🏡

Most Home Assistant content online is written for a generic global audience. It won’t tell you how to track your TNB tariff blocks, automate Azan reminders using JAKIM data, or pull live alerts from MET Malaysia.

That’s the gap this blog tries to fill. Every post here comes from something I’ve actually built, broken, and fixed in my own home.
